Tasting Notes
This tea is very mild and smooth with a higher amount of natural sweetness, no astringency, a velvety mouthfeel, and mild Bergamot citrus note. It is one of the most enjoyable and well-balanced Earl Grey teas we have had.
About this Tea
This Earl Grey tea is a blend of a Ceylon black tea from the highlands of Sri Lanka with a silver needle white tea from China that is infused with natural Bergamot Orange oil.
Steep Directions
Steep 1 tsp (0.8 g) of tea per 8 oz (226 g) of 205F water for 3 minutes.
Unlike coffee, specialty teas can be brewed/steeped multiple times, which really makes specialty tea more economical than at first glance. We find that this tea retains the Bergamot flavor for the first two times of being steeped but after this the Bergamot flavor dissipates. That being said, as you continue to steep the tea leaves additional times you get a secondary flavor experience of the underlying teas, which are themselves very pleasant.
Ingredients: Ceylon Black Tea from Sri Lanka; Silver Needle White Tea from China; Natural Oils from Bergamot Oranges. Contains caffeine.
