We are of the opinion that for the price, there is no better manual home espresso machine than the Nomad.  Whether you are new to making espresso or an experienced espresso enthusiast, the Nomad allows for users at either end of the spectrum to be able to make fantastic espresso.  It is not an exaggeration to say that some of the best espresso we have ever had has come from a Nomad, which is a lever-style espresso machine.     

The Nomad comes with one tamper, one 49 mm espresso basket, one brewing tray that holds the basket, a small and a water reservoir that holds 330 grams/ml of water.  The espresso basket holds 15 grams of darker roasted coffee and more for lighter roasted coffees.  There is no boiler, which means that you must heat water and pour into the water reservoir on the Nomad.  This also means there is no ability to steam milk with the Nomad.  

Pros: The ability to control and experiment with brew water temperatures, brew water volume, and brewing pressure.  These are features that you often have to pay thousands of dollars for in higher end espresso machines.  

Cons: The biggest con to the Nomad is clean up.  The brewing tray/drawer consists of three parts that stack together and easily come apart for cleaning: 1) the base/drawer, 2) the tray, and 3) the espresso basket.  We find that brewing near a sink makes cleaning the most efficient and less messy.  Coffee oils stain the white tray despite cleaning after each use.  The second con is that for efficient back to back shots, you need to have more than one brewing tray/drawer.

The model we are selling is a used model.  We purchased it new for testing and evaluation to determine if we wanted to become a wholesale distributer.  We ultimately decided that there was not enough demand for the product in our local market to justify the upfront purchase cost of the number of units we were required to purchase to become a wholesale distributor.  Since this is a used unit, we are selling it at the base price of $240.  The shipping cost of this unit was $45.
