One product page
In the past, all of our single serve options were part of a drop down menu for each coffee we offered. Alaska law has now changed and allows us as a home-based business to ship within Alaska. To simplify shipping integration into our website for our various single serve options, we have found that creating one page for each single serve option is the easiest solution.
Interested in variety?
In 2022, we have received a lot of positive feedback regarding our offering of a variety of individual single serve options for customers to choose from at local farmer’s markets rather having to purchase twelve of one type of coffee. We now want to try to incorporate this offering on our website, but it will require a bit of flexibility on everyone’s part to make it work as we don’t currently keep a regular inventory of roasted coffee on hand. We do, however, often have smaller amounts of various roasted coffees on hand that are left over from roasting orders that come in throughout the week. The quantities are often too small to fill an 8-16 ounce bag, but more than enough to make into a number of single serve options. Our goal with the offering is to encourage coffee exploration.

BREWING RECOMMENDATIONS
The immersion filter bags will brew one cup of coffee. If you can steep a tea bag, you can brew coffee with these immersion filter bags. Tear open the vacuum sealed pouch at the tear tab. Carefully pull out the immersion filter bags so as to not spill the coffee. Whether you place the filter bag in your cup before or after adding water is up to you, but we get a stronger cup of coffee by adding the filter bag first and pour water over the filter bag. We find that this brewing method really benefits from the coffee grounds being agitated. You can achieve this agitation by using the draw string on the bag to dip the filter bag up and down in the water for at least thirty seconds. You can also achieve this agitation by carefully opening up the filter bag and stirring the grounds as it steeps. Just like a tea bag, you can regulate the strength by how long you allow it to steep. Discard filter bag after single use.
For lighter roasts, we recommend starting with a water temperature between 201-205F. For darker roasts, we recommend starting with a water temperature of 195-200F. If the coffee tastes sour, 1) increase the water temperature you are brewing with, 2) trying brewing with more water, or 3) increase steep time. If the coffee tastes bitter, 1) lower the water temperature you are brewing with, 2) trying brewing with less water, or 3) decrease steep time.
